Our Impact

Since 2014 Kiwis for South Sudan have provided over half a million dollars to fund the following healthcare initiatives, positively impacting the people in these communities.  But there is still more work to do.

It's important to know that we run entirely on volunteers, so 100% of your donations go directly towards funding and supporting our partner programmes in South Sudan.  Thank you for helping us make an impact!

Project 2:

Community Health Evangelist Programme

DONATIONS TO DATE:  $200,000

Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is a holistic  community development programme that empowers communities for transformation, particularly through health education, to prevent unnecessary suffering and death.

Each village has a committee of 12 members and 50 Community Health Evangelists who volunteer to teach health and spiritual lessons from home to home.  Since its creation almost 100 villages have joined the programme.  It is changing lives daily, and we have over 100 villages waiting to join.

The IDAT CHE Programme’s Mission is to bring health literacy to a generation through weekly health lessons AND spread hope and love through spiritual lessons.

As of July 2025 we have supported:

  • Over 5000 volunteer CHEs in almost 100 villages

  • Drilling of 12 boreholes for clean water

  • 31 village schools, 51 community farms & 260 Bible Listening Groups.

  • Thousands of South Sudanese encountering God’s love each year & many new churches planted.

Project 3:

Clean Water

DONATIONS TO DATE:  $120,000

Access to clean water is a basic human right. Funding clean water projects aims to improve the health and well-being of communities by helping our partners on the ground install wells and provide access to safe, clean water.

This initiative reduces waterborne diseases and enhances the quality of life for countless families.

Since 2014, we have supported IDAT to drill 12 new water wells in the region surrounding Tonj, with more in the pipeline.
